Social Media Producer, Michigan Radio – 10/2014 to present

Responsible for overseeing and implementing Michigan Radio’s social media activities. I coordinate Michigan Radio’s online outreach, engagement and promotion by directly engaging Michigan Radio’s audience in a variety of social media channels. My role also includes leading efforts to develop a vibrant social media presence for Michigan Radio’s journalism content across platforms.

Responsible for developing sustainability plan for archival editing function that connects library’s archives of over 100,000 hours of NPR programming to current events and reporting; establishing a workflow for digitization of NPR news programs stored on reel-to-reel magnetic tape, based on best practices. Campaign resulted in increasing Facebook followers by 88% over the course of one year and creating five new thematic blogging areas, which increased website visits by 25%.
